Snark Sailboat Ontario

Hello 2011

Dear

you

Friends of France and Australia, the mine is a bit tarnished by a bad cold but good glad heart that I wanted to wish you a Happy New Year 2011! Yippee

youplala, joy, back flips, party favors and dancing duck.

Special Kassdédi especially to my pharmacist, who goes with me to take his wife in the Balearics. Enjoy bro.

So now, we live the last moments of 2010 ...

2010 which was a fine example of what life can offer us better because we spent the first half in Australia, and the second half in France. What could be better?

The balance of this year is I want all future years be as good in meetings and reunions.

level job, well it's better too. Say that in fact just had to start.

Good success is not the top level performance (I remind you that I sold my soul to the Grand Kapital and I'm here to make the figure, by St Bolor!). I always find that work has no interest, but hey it's less worse than what I thought.

The year 2011 begins, I remember with emotion as sign of mourning the terrible loss of the singer of Boney M, which affects us as much as the Paul died on Octopus or Horst Tapert.

Rest in peace, and spent the morning at Michael.

From our side we will loiiiiiiiin in the valley of Chevreuse (I even wonder if we say not Chevreuse Valley is kind ...), another country to say farewell to 2010 and hello to 2011.

I would think especially you, my friends from Sydney, eating a cheese fondue corrosive to the liver tonight.

A very good year at all, really.

Running With Your Period?

Life of my life redneck

It's official we are the rednecks.

In two weeks we start to follow the caravan tour of Johnny in the north.

Like all things great trend that I find it absolutely horrible and unnecessary (to mention only this: the carrot-cut pants, big plastic watches, greenhouses heads, smartphones ...), I finally dispose completely the pressure of advertising and marketing this thing to finally be desired more than anything else.

QED, this magnificent television about 4m2 a nice driver dropped us this morning under the tree. Finally before the tree instead.

As you can see, we did not do the thing in half and was completely cracked our underwear for Christmas.

But the truth is that it's not me, it Fnac. Fnac is evil.

One Saturday afternoon at Hi-Fi radius turns any quidam in redneck done. True story.

parties reasonable to buy a TV at a reasonable price, we ended up foaming at the mouth in front of giant screens with all the Tonys commuter. That is a concert broadcast Lorie We have not shocked or disgusted. Instead we said it was "oh look at the definition bin rholala we even see his fillings!" "Oh come on, what technology!" throwing glances heard our neighbors.

I felt that was the beginning of the end when we began to make excuses like "it would be nice to still play the Wii", "we could even invite friends to night football games." Anguish what.

short, has completely lost the ball and that night we bought this huge thing on the Internet (not to Fnac, we thought of rednecks, we're not even pigeons).

There.

So basically you are all invited to come when you want share great moment with us beaufitude.

Dress code: jogging flannel, cut mullet and tasseled loafers of course.

Seman That Smells Like Fish

It's time for Homecoming 2010 zident

For several days I say let me ab-so-lu-tion that I'm talking about my exciting life in upper part of the dynamic Parisian life.

Good as ever finished by 19:30 (I have a thought for my fellow commuters every evening at 19:30 sigh "and shit, I'll still go and I should 21h not my kid." Sadness.) I 'm too tired to write you anything super interesting, except that I'm tired.

And the fact is that I do not know what to say because I do not really know what I think.

There's a part of me is really happy to finally have responsibilities, to learn every day a little more of this new profession, to have a really great boss (he must be passed by the French Alliance Sydney to take the measure of what it is!) to help small babes looking for a job to find one, to complete projects, work in teams.

And then there 's another part of me that's like a big big big doubt. Is said thousand times a day "But what am I doing here?" The butterflies in my stomach.

I told you talked a little side Commercial Super clean this job. The next, I'll get the business, Toper contracts, make conf calls with Dir Com. You see a little? The commercial objective side ---> ----> contracts premiums at the end of the month, yay champagne and mojitos. Ben

not miss it eh, I think I'm not made for that too. Just talk to me about it, just I do not care really.

I do not feel in my place, I feel like a farce.

And the little super weird stuff of life: I now have an assistant.

And I admit, I envy.

I want to 18h when she takes her jacket and breaks. I envy when I see it in his quiet corner so I conf call with my Dir Com sucks too. I feel like when my boss gives me my Weekly Point and I have not reached my goals and it must be talked about. In fact

responsibilities, I'm drunk. That sucks, shameful, cowardly and pathetic, but true.

I can not say I was not warned. This job is the line near what I described in maintenance. And now I'm a picky eater at the first hurdle ...

must say I was gently put into prospecting for 3 consecutive weeks to test my motivation and I will start to recruit strictly speaking Monday. So if it is, I'm having as a divine illumination and kiffer my race.

I have not said my last word, I give myself until the end of the year to see. Hope!

Good end of weekend my balls!

Dora The Explorer Teaches French

A good initiative on the city of Besancon

I discovered today an interesting initiative, and it seems unusual, the city of Besancon . Indeed, in a few days the capital Franc Comtoise all freely available for its citizens (for a small deposit) cameras and thermal power meters.

With a thermal camera, it is possible to detect temperature differences on materials and thus bringing out the heat loss of a building.
The meter allows him to calculate the electrical power consumed by one or more devices.

Why not a green roof

The idea of a vegetated roof has always interested me.

In doing some research I realized that this process had (almost) the benefits :

The main benefits of a green roof :
  • thermal inertia to achieve significant energy savings
  • a very good soundproofing
  • a looks better than solid foam tiles
  • reduced temperature variations up to 40%
  • protecting the waterproofing membrane against UV, temperature rise and weather (hail gel, ...)
  • filtering rainwater
  • improving air quality (humidity, dust, toxic).
  • extension of longevity for the waterproofing membrane to 40-50 years
The few constraints:
  • limited to low-slope roofs (\u0026lt;35 °)
  • 's large investment in strengthening the structure and the addition of substrate, plants and drainage layers (even if over time we found it).

The layers

Three large family of revegetation

Type "extensive"
A thin layer of soil (about 10cm) covered with small plants of different colors without Thanksgiving Service (off-set a cleanup of weeds once a year)

Type "intensive"
A layer substrate most important (more than 15cm) allowing more hungry plants thrive. It is possible to make a garden on its roof. The supporting structure must be even stronger and maintains is more important and must be irrigated but the appearance is nicer.

type "semi-intensive"
This is a compromise between the two with 15-20 cm of soil and planting the nutritional needs measured (Eg grass)

In conclusion we would really like to revegetate 50 to 60% of the roof of our future home (especially the rooms to improve the acoustic comfort and thermal). However, after our appointment with the Mayor of Pirey , we're not very optimistic. Indeed, we have always refused to explain the flat roofs.
We could revegetate a pitched roof but the price is even more so. We'll try to find with our architect a solution that fits all with minimal impact to the aesthetics of our project started.

Final Post Date Australia

I had two good resolutions addressing this autumn 2010: to update this blog regularly, and find a job.

As you can see, it total failure in the first category. So I concentrated on the second and surpraïze: it worked! Please

Meet the new me: HR Consultant.

is a title a bit much to say that I'm going to recruit. From November it tells me so the right of life or death to my fellow professional, I lead licks lips ...

Good in truth, I am totally petrified with fear at the thought of this leap into the unknown (I even had a nightmare where I had to recruit Frederic Levebre is to say). I wake up every morning with the ball and the belly that question that torments me Shelley's: shit, is what I've done ...? Is what I should not take a cushy job of executive assistant and make PivotTables all day giving the "Headmaster" to my boss? Is not what I should call them and tell them that in fact ben er not?

But nah, I'm holding for now and I have not called (note that I cling to a job that I have not started yet, it promises ...)

At the same time, I tell myself that I have 130 years to work, I will say that I have room to carry out tests of all kinds. And if I have deliberately chosen to learn a new job is probably my deep bored me to make serious PivotTables ... Good

what is stressing me a bit anyway, is that I will not do as recruiting, I'll also have my fader prospecting .... And then I say beuuuuuuh. Prospecting is the people who always call you at the wrong time to the tune of "let me introduce you to our services, and believe me it will change your life." A sort of Jehovah's Witness now.

And frankly, someone answer me: who likes to do that??

Me Me when I receive a call from someone wishing sell me double glazing, I have two possible reactions:

  1. If I'm in a good mood: "I arrest you right away, I'm not interested at all. But yes, good day to you too my good lady "

  2. If I'm in a bad mood:" I know how you got my number? (Icily, raised eyebrows, smirk of contempt that feels even through the handset) "

But in any case I listen to the little speech that follows. I'm assuming that if I need something, I'm big enough to do the research myself and a call home in the afternoon is particularly intrusive.

short, I am so aware of the annoyance caused by such phone call that I am not sure to be super super motivated ...

Good try anyway to stay positive, saying that if it is I'll be like super super good in fact. And I'll make a cap in the wake of teleoperation and open a call center in Dubai.

Anywho, we can say that this new job that's going to change anything!

And to paraphrase the great artist MC Warrior: you wanted, you've had (a big slap on your ass). He explains that is free to our choices and that sometimes we need to be shaken in our beliefs, our lives, and it hurts, yeah yeah.

Finally, and this has nothing to do with sauerkraut you'll laugh, but I think I finished my mourning of Australia. My friend

Soline French met in Sydney, and as we came home with her husband this summer, I learned he was returning to Sydney for a year. New job, new visa, what happiness. At this news, I was just happy for them. No twinge of heart or "han the Choune!". And I realized that if we proposed to return to live there again, well, I would say no.

Life is beautiful:).

On this dear friend, I leave and I'll do an hour of code yeah!

PS: To complete work on this story, I must confess I still drive in parallel talks in another box that offered me a bit of my dream job but is very very very slow in its recruitment process. As I am not sure if it works, I talk too much (unless you're part of the 197 people I saw this week or that I got the phone which I describe everything with a hysterical voice on cocaine). In short, when I speak a little because I can not help it. I'll keep you informed, and if it works, I'll do a kiss-mouth, I promise.

PPS: I have not forgotten that I had to write an article "Living with 5 dwarf 20m2, the ultimate experience!". That's because I still collect evidence for more serious rebuilding .

PPS: Unrelated picture. You'll note that I am particularly void title and image.
